SQL Advanced Queries Example – II

In this post, we will look at some advanced SQL queries.

Exercise on Advanced Queries

a) Write an SQL query to fetch the departments that have less than five people in it.

Command:
 select * from Emp where eid in (select eid from Works where did in (select did from Dept where dname = 'Hardware' or dname = 'Software') group by eid having count(*) = 2);

b) Write an SQL query to fetch worker names and total bonus amount earned with salaries >= 50000 and <= 100000.

 select w.first_name, w.last_name, sum(b.bonus_amount) from Worker w, Bonus b where w.worker_id = b.worker_ref_id and w.salary >= 50000 and w.salary <= 100000 group by b.worker_ref_id;
